"Soulsticks, whose real name is Manqoba Melusi Nxumalo, is a
DJ who was born in Mpumalanga (Bethal, South Africa) and raised in Eswatini (Ngwane
Park). He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Sciences and has been in the DJ Industry
since 2013, playing spiritually inspired music through Afro House, Afro Tech
and 3step. Soulsticks has been igniting flames across dance floors in and
outside Eswatini (Swaziland).
The foundations of his musical journey stems from his family
which is into music, and it developed his overall love for musical
instruments. The DJ refers to himself as a musical enthusiast, forever trying
to discover something new.
He has shared the stage with some of the biggest names in
the industry, in and outside Swaziland
including the likes of DJ Maphorisa, Babes wodumo, Thathohatsi, Tony Dayimane,
PCEE, Justin 99, LeeMckrazy, Scotts Maphuma and Kwesta to name a few. He has
also showcased his DJ craft abroad in countries like China where he has played in 5 different
provinces such as Wuhan, and Jingmen among others.
His works draw on a range of influences without being
defined by them. Soulsticks has developed a signature sound that feels coherent
and personal across the catalogue. Every release demonstrates craft, attention,
and a genuine point of view rather than chasing trends.
Performing live and recording steadily, Soulsticks has built
a growing and loyal fan-base, and he also has a reputation for consistency. The
work speaks for itself."
